UKAA & NED UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIP TO TRAIN TEACHERS
FACULTY TRAINING PROGRAM
STEM education, an acronym for well-known terms– Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. With STEM, it is not the teaching of one subject but rather the amalgamation of all four subjects as a comprehensive one through an interdisciplinary curriculum. This helps students to deal with real-world situations and apply their learnings to create, innovate, and discover new things. Also, it has been proven that students who adopt the STEM learning approach have better possibilities of getting placed at good companies, achieving the goals of their lives contributing to the environment, etc. To benefit from STEM, UKAA is partnering with NED University faculty to train master teachers for science and mathematics. This project is funded by UKAA to train 80 teachers—40 in science and 40 in mathematics—so that they can be master teachers. From a list of 17 schools, UKAA and NEDUET have chosen 10 schools. UKAA intends to expand this program to Karachi and beyond over the next several years. The cost of this pilot is estimated to be about $60,000.00.

UKAA ; IBA & STANFORD UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIP TO TRAIN FACULTY MEMBERS
UKAA has partnered with IBA and Stanford University to establish the “IBA X Stanford Life Design Lab”. The UKAA's $75,000 investment will directly train and upskill the IBA faculty in this cutting-edge approach to education, ensuring that the benefits of this collaboration flow swiftly and effectively to both faculty and students. This will be accomplished through hands-on involvement from Stanford University experts, curriculum enhancements, and faculty seminars. Dr. S. Akbar Zaidi, the Executive Director of IBA, expressed gratitude to UKAA and acknowledged that UKAA's funding, “we will be able to usher in a new era at IBA Karachi, where global universities will wish to work with Pakistan as we create a hub of innovation and leadership in Southeast Asia.”
UKAA STEM MASTER TRAINING
In alignment with our commitment to fostering STEM growth and sustainability in Pakistan, we propose a comprehensive "STEM Master Trainer". This initiative under the UKAA Leadership in STEM Programme aims to equip educators with four key areas: content knowledge, pedagogical skills, assessment techniques, and classroom management strategies to effectively teach Math and Science subjects from grades 4 to 10.
